The Augusta Public Library Genealogy Club will meet on Thursday, Feb 2, at 1 p.m. in the Community Room of the library.  Anyone interested in attending is welcome.

Brown Baggers will meet on Monday, February 13, at 1 p.m. in the Community Room.   We will be discussing Room by Emma Donoghue.  It is told from the point of view of a young boy who, along with his mother, has been imprisoned in one small room his entire life.

Note:  Brown Baggers will meet on the third Monday in March rather than the second due to the dates of the Friends Book Sale.

Do you enjoy watching classic movies of the 1930′s,  40′s,  50′s, or 60′s?  If so, mark you calendar for the third Tuesday of each month at 2 p.m.   We are planning to show a movie in the Community Room each month with popcorn and water provided.  You are welcome to bring your own beverage if you choose (non-alcoholic, of course!)  

On February 20 we’ll show a movie starring Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron.  It won the Best Picture Oscar in 1951.  For the title, call the library or come in.  We’ll be happy to tell you!
